First National Bank announced on Friday the addition of a mortgage lending department to its suite of products and services, coming in the near future.

Preparations are currently underway to launch this product offering and more information on an official start date for accepting mortgage lending applications is expected in the coming weeks.

Joining the team to lead this initiative is Amanda Eaton, who will work as President, Mortgage Lending. Eaton brings over 20 years as a leader in the field. “We feel like we hit the jackpot with Amanda,” said First National Bank’s Matt Rankin, “Her experience and background in mortgage leadership are exactly what we needed to bring our bank back into the mortgage lending arena.”

Eaton will be flanked by Micah Arnold, who comes aboard as Processing Manager of Mortgage Lending. She’s had over 10 years of experience in the field and nearly 20 in banking. Arnold is returning to the bank, having been a staff member from 2004 to 2012. “We are happy to have Micah rejoin the First National Bank family,” Rankin said, “She’s an experienced processor with a passion for helping customers, she’ll fit right in.”

Rounding out the team is Kasey Braswell, Operations Manager/Mortgage Lending. Kasey has nearly 10 years of banking experience, the last 6 in mortgage lending. “Kasey is the perfect fit to join our team and help keep our mortgage operation flowing smoothly. The challenge with mortgage lending is keeping the process timely and minimally cumbersome on the customer. We know Kasey is the right person to do this for our bank,” said Rankin.

Lacey Gregory has been working as a mortgage lender in the bank’s Tennessee market and will continue to work with this team from Hartsville, Tennessee. “Lacey has been instrumental in helping us get this project off the ground and offering guidance and support,” Rankin added, “We are glad she’s on our team and will serve as a leader to keep us competitive in the Tennessee region for years to come.”

Once the department is ready to accept applications, First National Bank will have over 40 years of banking and mortgage experience leading the charge. “This is an exciting announcement for First National Bank,” said First National Bank Chairman Will Brewer, “As our bank has expanded, customer demand for mortgage lending has increased. We are here to answer that call by adding a great team of mortgage lenders to our family.”
