First National Bank's Amanda Eaton Appointed to Arkansas Fair Housing Commission


First National Bank Mortgage President Amanda Eaton was appointed this week to the Arkansas Fair Housing Commission by Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Eaton offers over 25 years of experience in her field. She started at First National Bank in 2022, leading a team of mortgage professionals to provide simple, proven, reliable service to customers across Arkansas and Tennessee.

“We’re excited to see Amanda serve Arkansas in this position,” said First National Bank’s Bobby Kasserman, “Her experience, tenacity, and enthusiasm make her the perfect person to represent the best interest of Arkansans when it comes to fair housing.”

Currently, Eaton also serves as the Land Bank Commissioner for the Jonesboro Land Bank. Other recent accomplishments include receiving the 2024 NEABOR Appreciation Award from the Northeast Arkansas Board of Realtors and the First National Bank mortgage team being recognized as Best of NEA’s 2025 gold winner for mortgage lending.

Eaton previously served as the President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer for the Northeast Arkansas chapter of the Mortgage Bankers Association. She also held positions as President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer for the Mortgage Bankers Association of Arkansas. She was recognized as 2017’s Affiliate of the Year by the Northeast Arkansas Board of Realtors. She has ranked among the top 25 USDA loan producers by Scotsman Guide magazine.

The Arkansas Fair Housing Commission is an agency that works with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to monitor and enforce fair housing rules and regulations. Eaton’s term on the Arkansas Fair Housing Commission expires December 31, 2027. She is filling a position that was previously vacant.
